Lahinch Surf School
Lahinch Surf School is the creation of John McCarthy, three times Irish Senior Surf Champion. John established Co. Clare's first Surf School to share his love and 'stoke' for surfing. When they are not surfing big waves at the Cliffs of Moher (the wave John famously named 'Aileens') you will find them at the 'Beach Hut' on the promenade at Lahinch.
Book your 2 hour surf lesson with the hotel directly and we will take care of your booking which includes all equipment, tuition, wet suit and waves.
All you have to do is stroll from the hotel to the promenade!

The two mile long beach in Lahinch with its variety of breaks caters for novice, intermediate and experienced surfers. 5 miles further south you will find Spanish Point another perfect surfing beach. Lahinch Surf Experience
Lahinch Surf Experience is located at the end of the promenade in the lower car park in Lahinch. Owner and operator James Monaghan is an extremely experienced level two surf coach and beach lifeguard.
Lahinch Surf Experience offers a range of lessons including beginner, intermediate and advanced surf lessons along with private lessons, group lessons and kids surf lessons and summer camps. Surfboards, wet suits and stand-up paddles boards are also available for hire.

Ollie's Lahinch Surf Centre
Ollie's Lahinch Surf Centre is located in the bottom lower carpark just metres from the beach and offers a range of lessons and summer camps for kids, teens and adults. They also cater for large groups, sports teams, schools, team building etc. Ollie's Surf Centre also offer a large selection of surf boards and wetsuits for rent.

Kayak Tours
Take a tour down the river in Ennistymon with a qualified instructor. Price includes transport to and from their centre and onto the river in Ennistymon for a 2 hour trip. All equipment is provided including wetsuit and buoyancy aid. Kayak tours and rentals are available year round, when conditions allow.

SUP - Stand Up Paddle Boarding
Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) is a traditional Hawaiian sport that has grown in popularity here over the past few years. It's a great workout that promotes balance, strength and general fitness while having fun at the same time. Enjoy SUP on calmer days on Lahinch Bay or take a trip on the river in Ennistymon.
